the rats have been on Baytril for three days and it feels like cloud's lymphnode infection is a little smaller today. i also felt clever because i devised a way to get Dolce to take her dose more easily. Piccho has been the easiest to does because she's such a greedy piggy that i dont even have to force the end of the tube into her mouth. i just push the plunger to release drop and she will lick them off the end of the tube. thank goodness the medicine tastes good to them. it's tutti fruity.
so i realized the time dolce is the most eager for treats is when i am handing them things through the wires of their cage. she will reach her paws out and paw frantically to pull the treat to her (probably so piccho can't get it first) so i used her habit to my advantage and left her in the cage to dose her. so i gave piccho the drops thru the wires and then dolce was like, "me too!i want treats tooo!"so i tricked her into taking her medicine more easily. cloud is now the most difficult to treat, trying to thrash away and she doesn't want me to put anything her her mouth. but she is so docile and never bites so i can overpower her. he is the one who need the antibiotics the most to bring down her infection, the other girls are getting treated to attempt to wipe out their mycoplasma (which i'm not sure is even possible)
